We've tried to make the customization process easy and fun. When you go to our customization section, you can pick the individual ingredients that you want in your product. We then blend the product fresh and send it to you. Each of our ingredients is labeled with its main property - for example "anti aging" or "toning." That way, you can pick based on the benefit you are looking to achieve. You don't need any prior knowledge of skincare ingredients! Why should I customize?
We wanted to offer our customers the ability to customize because of several reasons:
First, we believe that tailoring your product to your specifications will produce better results. You have the ability to add an anti-oxidant boost if that's what you're looking for. Or maybe you are allergic to nut oils or love the scent of lavender. By customizing, you get a product that is specifically suited to your individual needs.
Second, we hope that the customization process empowers you to learn about the ingredients that are going into your product - and into your body. We know that a lot of people out there are frustrated by the lack of transparency in the beauty industry. We've experienced first hand the frustration of buying an 'all - natural product' only to look on the back of the label and discover numerous synthetic ingredients. At Truth Art Beauty, our goal is be as transparent and truthful as possible. We believe that our customization process helps achieve this goal.
And finally, we hope that you enjoy the creative experience of coming up with your own 'recipes.' It's so much fun to have a product that's specially blended for you - it's like a gift to yourself. Customized blends are also wonderful gifts, both fun and thoughtful.
How do I know what ingredients are good for my skin?
All of our ingredients have been selected for their unique properties. In our descriptions, we've tried to identify each ingredients main property in way that makes it easy for you to choose. For example, rosehip is our "anti aging" boost and tamanu is our "puffiness reducing" boost. If you ever have any questions about which ingredient is best suited for your skin, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We'll respond right away with our suggestions.
Is it possible to make a 'wrong' combination?
Nope! There is no way to make a wrong combination. We've made sure to build our platform in such a way that all possible combinations are good combinations! We know how all our ingredients interact with each other and we've tested them out. All our ingredients are natural botanicals that are active, healthy, and great for your skin.
Why does your product come with an expiration date?
We include an expiration date because our philosophy is that skincare, like food, should be made and consumed fresh. We don't use any synthetic preservatives to unnaturally extend our shelf life. If you had a choice, would you prefer buying fresh produce or canned vegetables? Most of the skincare you see in the stores have harsh preservatives so that they can withstand shelf lives of years. We call that canned skincare. Truth Art Beauty's products are the fresh and healthier alternative. Adding an expiration date ensures that you use the product when it is most efficacious, as active content diminishes over time.
Does the product need to be refrigerated?
No, our product does not need to be refrigerated. Storing it in a cool, dry place certainly helps, but all of our products can happily live in the bathroom vanity until they expire.
How long does it take to get my custom blend?
We send products out within 1-3 days of receiving your order.
What if I don't like my blend? Can I get a refund?
Absolutely. Our main goal is for you to be totally satisfied with your Truth Art Beauty product and experience. If you don't like the product, please email us and we'll give you a full refund, no questions asked. If you want us to replace your product with a different blend, we can do that as well. We want you to feel comfortable experimenting with the art of creating your own blend and we don't want to discourage you from trying out new recipes.
